Banke, January 1
Two pedestrians died in a car accident at Nepalgunj of Banke on Sunday night.
The deceased has been identified as Astha Shah, 24, of Nepalgunj Sub-Metropolitan City while the identity of another deceased has not been ascertained yet, according to Chief of Traffic Police Office, Police Inspector Gopi Krishna Subedi.
The accident took place when a car (Sudurpaschim State 010001 Cha 3463) heading towards Kohalpur from Nepalgunj hit them near the SK Petrol Pump at Karkando of Nepalgunj.
Both of them died on the way to the hospital. Similarly, Sahana Shah of Nepalgunj was injured in the same incident and is undergoing treatment at Nepalgunj Medical College, he added.
Police have started further investigation into the incident by arresting two persons who were in the car.
