Kathmandu, February 26
The Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) has awarded central contracts to 30 cricketers.
In a meeting held on Monday, CAN ranked male and female players and determined their monthly salaries.
Grade A players, including captain Rohit Kumar Paudel, Sompal Kami, Karan KC, Dipendra Singh Airee, Asif Sheikh, and Kushal Bhurtel, will receive Rs 100,000 per month.
Grade B players, such as Kushal Malla, Gulsan Jha, Bhim Sharki, Lalit Narayan Rajbanshi, Aarif Sheikh, and Abinash Bohora, will be paid Rs 70,000 per month.
Binod Bhandari, Arjun Saud, Sandeep Jora, and Pratish GC have been placed under Grade C and will be paid Rs 55,000. Pawan Sarraf, Sagar Dhakal, Anil Sah, Bivek Kumar Yadav, Akash Chand, Basir Ahmed, and Surya Tamang are in Grade D and will be paid Rs 35,000.
CAN has introduced an emerging category, which includes Dipesh Kandel (Koshi), Rupesh Singh (Madhesh), Rijan Dhakal (Bagamati), Bipin Khatri (Gandaki), Dev Khanal (Lumbini), Arjun Gharti (Karnali), and Hemant Dhami (Sudurpaschim). Emerging category players will receive a monthly stipend of Rs 25,000.
