Kathmandu, April 29
On Monday, the stock market rose slightly. The market index NEPSE increased by 0.07 compared to the previous day and remained stable at 1980 points. The turnover has increased. The turnover of Rs 2.68 billion the previous day was Rs 2.95 billion today.
A total of 99 companies increased in value, 128 decreased while 17 remained stable. The finance group increased the most by 4.17 per cent. Apart from finance, development bank increased by 1.66 per cent and banking by 0.29 per cent. Hotel and tourism decreased by 0.60 per cent, hydropower by 0.50 per cent, life insurance by 0.25 per cent, manufacturing by 0.06 per cent, non-life insurance by 0.51 per cent, other by 0.82 per cent, and business by 0.45 per cent. The microfinance group remained stable.
The prices of Pokhara, Janaki and Nepal Finance increased by 10 per cent.
