NEPSE: Stock market falls to 1974 points

On Sunday, the first day of the week, the stock market fell to 1974 points. Compared to the previous trading day, the index NEPSE decreased by 24.58 points. The turnover has also decreased. While 42 companies increased in value, 196 decreased while 7 remained stable.

The turnover of Rs 4.13 billion on Thursday has decreased to Rs 3.79 billion today. Microfinance and non-life insurance remained in the green in small numbers, while all other overall indicators declined. Microfinance increased by 6.8 points and non-life insurance by 4 points. Development banks, finance and manufacturing groups fell more than 2 per cent.

Banking decreased by 11 points, Development Bank by 109, Finance by 44, Hotel and Tourism by 85, Hydropower by 38, Life Insurance by 173, Manufacturing by 155, Others by 13, Business by 13.

The price of Dolti Power increased by 9.5 per cent, Sadhana Microfinance by 8.7 per cent, Samata Microfinance by 8.7 per cent, and RSDC Microfinance by 3.7 per cent.

Similarly, the price of People’s Power decreased by 9.9 per cent, Singti Hydropower by 7.5 per cent, Himalayan Distillery by 6.3 per cent, Janaki Finance by 5.6 per cent and Bottlers Nepal Terai by 5.2 per cent.

Based on the transaction amount, Nepal Finance, Himalayan Distillery, Pokhara Finance, IME Life Insurance and Sign Resunga Development Bank were ahead respectively.

Rs 4 million bonus shares of Himalayan Reinsurance have been listed. The company had earlier announced 4 per cent bonus shares.
