Rabi Lamichhane accuses government of framing false charges, expresses confidence in Judiciary

Pokhara, October 20

The Chairperson of the Rastriya Swatantra Party, Rabi Lamichhane, has expressed confidence that the court will deliver justice in his case.

Speaking to journalists on Sunday outside the District Court, where he was presented for a remand extension in connection with a cooperative fraud investigation, Lamichhane stated his firm belief in the judiciary.

“The court will deliver justice. I have great faith in the judicial system. However, if the current KP Oli-led government remains in power, the people will continue to suffer. This government persists in framing people with false charges,” Lamichhane said.

Lamichhane emphasised that he has faith in the judicial process and is cooperating to ensure justice. He also urged his party members to take to the streets nationwide in protest against the government.

Lashing out at the government, Lamichhane accused it of protecting corrupt individuals while filing false charges against him. “If KP Oli is investigated with the same scrutiny I have faced over the past year and a half, it will become evident that he stands on the foundation of the biggest corruption,” he claimed.
