Kathmandu, December 2
The Supreme Court has scheduled the next hearing in the passport misuse case against Rabi Lamichhane, Chairperson of the Rastriya Swatantra Party, for March 31, 2025.
The hearing, initially set for Monday, was postponed as the judges were unable to review the case. Consequently, the court has rescheduled the hearing for four months later.
The case stems from a writ petition filed by Yubaraj Paudel, demanding the annulment of a decision by the Office of the Attorney General, which declined to prosecute Lamichhane over allegations of passport misuse. The case has faced repeated delays, with the latest postponement extending the hearing date to next year.
