Kathmandu, March 5
The House of Representatives has approved the “Ordinance to Amend Certain Nepal Acts Related to Good Governance Promotion and Public Service Delivery.”
During Wednesday’s session, the ordinance was passed despite a motion of disapproval filed by seven opposition lawmakers. However, the motion failed to secure a majority.
Following this, Minister for Communication and Information Technology, Prithvi Subba Gurung, presented the proposal for the ordinance’s approval, which was passed by a majority in the House.
The government may now introduce a bill to replace the ordinance.
