Two die in separate road accidents in Kathmandu

Kathmandu, January 10

Two people have died in two road accidents in Kathmandu on Sunday night. The accidents took place in Minbhawan and Bijulibazar.

Jivan Nath Gautam, 63, from Ramechhap died after getting hit by a motorbike (Bagmati Province 02-031Pa 7562) while crossing the road at around 6:30 pm on Sunday evening. Gautam was rushed to nearby Civil Service Hospital but succumbed to his injuries at the hospital, inform police.

Similarly, a tipper hit Bipin BK, of Bhaktapur in Bijulibazar at around 11 pm on Sunday. The registration number of the tipper is unknown.

Police say that BK was hit by the tipper after he had left his friend at a restaurant after quarrelling with them. He is believed to have had been under the influence of alcohol. He was also taken to Civil Hospital but died on the course of treatment, inform police.

Police say they are looking for the tipper that hit BK.
