Chitwan, November 19
Owing to the death of Prakash Dahal, the son of CPN-Maoist Centre Chairman and the party’s candidate for Chitwan-3, Pushpa Kamal Dahal, parties in the district have postponed election campaigns in the run-up to provincial and federal parliamentary polls.
Both the leftist and democratic alliances have said they will not organise any function today.
The leftist alliance was organising a door-to-door campaign and a corner meeting in Bharatpur-5 of Constituency 2.
Pushpa Kamal Dahal’s rival from the democratic alliance, Bikram Pandey, has also postponed all functions for today, according to his aide Raju Bhandari.
