Kathmandu, February 19
Airline companies of Nepal have announced an increase in the airfare following the government decision to hike the price of aviation fuel.
Just a few days ago, the government-run fuel distribution monopoly, Nepal Oil Corporation, had increased the price of aviation fuel by Rs 2 per litre.
Yoga Raj Kandel, the spokesperson for the Airline Operators Association of Nepal, says the new standard fares have been fixed as per its policy of revising the airfares as per the change in the fuel price.
The new tariff will come into effect from Saturday as the national aviation regulator, Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal, has already approved it.
