Butwal, April 6
The Kapilvastu District Court has issued an arrest warrant against its own former judge on a marital rape charge.
Judge Bhuwan Giri has recently been transferred to the Judicial Council from the court.
Earlier, Giri’s wife had filed a marital rape complaint against him at the District Police Office. The court issued the warrant as per the DPO’s request, according to the court’s shrestedar Suman Pandey.
Meanwhile, the complainant also faces a charge of government document forgery, it has been learnt.
