A man has been arrested for spreading misinformation through social media by writing insensitive and incorrect things along with the picture of Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal.
Sher Bahadur Rana Magar alias Tiger Rana Magar of Devdaha municipality-8 was arrested in Butwal on the charge of writing insensitive things along with the Prime Minister’s picture in connection with the death of Prime Minister’s wife Sita Dahal.
DSP Dan Bahadur Thapa said that Magar was arrested from Devinagar on Sunday. Thapa said as this is a case related to cybercrime it will be prosecuted in Kathmandu.
Magar had created and shared pictures on social media that contained fake details, including an Indian Aadhaar Card and income tax card, alongside the photo of PM Dahal.
