Armed police force constable Bharatram Koli, accused of killing 21-year-old Maya Luhar, was arrested from Mahendranagar, informs Sudurpaschim Province Police Office.
Luhar was murdered by using a sharp weapon at Baladanga, Shivanath rural municipality-6 of the Baitadi district on Sudurpaschim.
Inspector Pushkar Pant, from the District Police Office in Kanchanpur, informs Koli was arrested while wandering in the Mahendranagar market on Sunday morning. Pant says he will be handed over to the Baitadi police.
Luhar, a resident of Sailoda, Pancheshwar rural municipality-4 of the district, was missing since Tuesday, but she was found dead near a Shiva temple at Baladanga, according to police. Neha Luhar, 15, who accompanied the victim, was found injured.
The law enforcers say further investigation is underway.
