Seven persons died whereas 18 others sustained injuries in a road accident in the Bajhang district of Sudurpaschim on Wednesday.
An SUV (Province 01-001-Ja 116) fell off the road at Chiuri, Masta rural municipality-4 of the district this afternoon.
Five of the victims are permanent residents of Masta whereas two are from Shuklaphanta municipality in the Kanchanpur district, according to Head Constable Sher Bahadur Chand, the acting chief of the District Police Office.

Bajhang road accident kills at least 4

Four persons died in a road accident in the Bajhang district of Sudurpaschim on Wednesday. The death toll may rise as some other people are injured.
When an SUV heading towards Masta from Dungri in Masta rural municipality-4 of the district fell off the road, four persons died on the spot, according to DSP Jageshwar Bhandari, the chief of the Bajhang District Police Office.
“We have sent the injured people to the hospital, and their details are not available yet,” he says.
The vehicle’s registration number is also not available as the wreckage has been heavily damaged.
