Though police in Kathmandu Valley have recently barred tippers from entering the Valley during the daytime as the number of deaths caused by tipper hit continue growing, the problem has not been solved.
Tension ran high in Banepa of Kavrepalanchok district, just few kilometres away from Kathmandu, after a tipper hit a 48-year-man to death this afternoon.
Jit Bahadur Tamang from Khanalthok, Namobuddha Municipality-4 of the district, was hit by the vehicle at local Chardobato today.
After the incident, irate locals set the vehicle (Ba 2 Ka 3934) on fire.
Meanwhile, police arrested the tipper driver for further investigation and action.
