Birgunj, February 16
A man has been arrested on the charge of raping a 76-year-old woman, in Kolhawi municipality-8 of Bara district in southern Nepal.
The suspect has been identified as Dal Bahadur Lama, 39.
DSP Gautam Mishra, the Bara District Police Office spokesperson, says Lama has been accused of raping a septuagenarian in a maize field on Sunday morning. He was arrested on Monday.
The District Court has remanded him in custody for five days, and further investigation is underway.
