Butwal, January 31
Nepali Congress leader Gagan Thapa says believing that the CPN-UML will bring prosperity in the country is just daydreaming.
Addressing a function in Butwal of Rupandehi district today, Thapa likened the UML, which is preparing to lead the government within next one month, to a private company and said just around 10,000 people would benefit from the UML-led government.
Thapa said UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli’s statement that black money should be invested was a bad omen for what would happen next. “The Congress might need to face similar things in the future.”
On the other hand, Thapa said Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s two phone calls and the visit of Indian Minister for Sushma Swaraj before the formation of new government were also suspicious.
Swaraj is scheduled to land in Kathmandu for a two-day political visit tomorrow.
Meanwhile, Thapa claimed that his party won the national political course though it lost the polls.
