Kathmandu, February 15
Binu Yadav, a survivor of rape and sexual violence, was arrested in front of the parliament building on Wednesday.
She was arrested after she tried to demonstrate in a prohibited area, said Metropolitan Police Office.
Yadav has been saying she was raped by her boyfriend, Pradeep Kathayat, who she was forced to marry. She has also said she was held hostage at the Kathayat household where she was tortured and sexually abused by other members of the house.
As a protest, she even threw red paint in front of the Supreme Court and drank poison during a hearing in Ramechhap court.
The case filed by Binu Yadav against her husband and in-laws is currently sub-judice at Patan High Court.
