Kathmandu, November 25
The ruling CPN-Maoist Centre is holding a meeting of the party headquarters at Prime Minister and party Chair Prachanda’s private residence in Lazimpat on Friday.
The meeting scheduled for 1 am will discuss issues like Constitution amendment and latest political developments, among others.
The meeting comes at a time when the Prachanda-led government is making last-ditch efforts to amend the Charter. PM Prachanda is in crisis with the main opposition CPN-UML making it clear that it will not support the government-sponsored amendment initiative.
The meeting will make preparations and set agendas for the party’s politburo meeting, which is taking place on Saturday.
