Kathmandu, October 6
Popular folk singer Koman Oli, has recently defected to the CPN-UML from Rastriya Prajatantra Party, has been nominated for the candidacy for upcoming House of Representatives elections from Dang Constituency 3.
The constituency committee of the party has sent Oli’s name among others to the central committee.
Oli was a popular newsreader at Radio Nepal till last year when she left the prestigious job to join the Kamal Thapa-led Hindu nationalist party.
However, she was dissatisfied with the split in the party around two months ago before she decided to join the UML.
