Kathmandu, February 17
Doctors across the country have increased their consultation fees.
A meeting of the Nepal Medical Association, the umbrella organisation of Nepali doctors, and the Association of Private Health Institution of Nepal, an organisation of private health institutions, decided to increase the charges.
Now onwards, the consultation fees will be charged as follows:

The organisations say they decided to hike the fees as per a recommendation of the Nepal Rastra Bank Inflation and Fees Consultation Committee.
As per the government rules, doctors’ consultation fees get revised every two years.
