Kathmandu, May 15
Sajha Yatayat is expanding its electric bus service on a new route in Kathmandu.
The company has started to operate three electric buses on the Patandhoka-Ratnapark-Gyaneshwar-Ratopul-Gaushala-Chabahil-Boddha-Jorpati-Dakshindhoka route from Monday.
According to the cooperative’s General Manager Mahendra Raj Pandey, the company plans to run 15 electric buses on this route in the future.
Out of the 40 electric vehicles brought by the company, only three were in operation. Now, with three more being used on a new route, it is looking to expand its network and use the electric buses it bought from China.
