Kathmandu, May 27
Finance Minister Yuba Raj Khatiwada will announce the budget plan for the next fiscal year 2019/20 at 4 pm on Wednesday this week, informs Parliament officials.
Speaker Krishna Bahadur Mahara announced during the House of Representatives meeting on Monday that the Minister would make the presentation at a joint meeting of the House of the Representatives and the National Assembly.
Lawmakers have been directed to enter the Parliament hall and be seated by 3:45 pm on the day.
Article 119 of the constitution has a provision that the federal government’s Finance Minister presents annual budget plan at the joint meeting of two houses on May 29 every year.
The new fiscal year begins on July 17.
