A fire broke out at Center Plaza, a commercial building in Itahari, Sunsari, leaving several people trapped.
Five people trapped in a fire at Center Plaza in Itahari, Sunsari, have been rescued safely.
The fire is currently raging on the fifth floor of the seven-story building, with individuals stranded on the upper floors. Efforts are underway to rescue them, according to DSP Yograj Khatri of the Sunsari District Police Office.
The exact number of people trapped remains unknown. The fire started around 9:30 AM on the balcony of a hotel on the fifth floor of the plaza, located in Itahari Sub-Metropolitan City-6, Main Chowk. Authorities are working to bring the blaze under control.
