Former State Minister and central member of the CPN (Maoist Centre), Padam Bahadur Rai, was given a final tribute at Parisdanda today.
At a condolence ceremony held this morning, Maoist Chairperson Pushpa Kamal Dahal, along with other leaders and party members, paid their respects. Chairperson Dahal draped Rai’s body with the party flag as a mark of honour.
Issuing a condolence statement, Prachanda expressed sympathy to the grieving family and described Rai’s demise as an irreparable loss to the communist movement.
Rai, aged 58, passed away on Saturday at 6:30 pm while undergoing treatment at Bir Hospital.
