Kathmandu, August 1
Police say one man killed his wife, his two minor children and himself in Kavresthali on the northern outskirts of Kathmandu.
Earlier, Dinesh Pandey, his wife Sunita Kapri Pandey, and the couple’s son Ashik and daughter Ashika were found dead inside their house today.
The incident came to the notice of the neighbours when the daughter did not arrive on the road to get on her school bus this morning. Her friends called her from outside the house, but no one responded.
Following that, neighbours informed the police of the case.
It has been learned that the couple were not on good terms for the past few years and they had gone to the police three times over the past few months to settle their disputes.
Investigators also found a four-page suicide note of Pandey from the incident site.
Pandey was in Kuwait for 12 years before he returned to Kathmandu 4.5 years ago.
