Four individuals have been arrested in connection with alleged betting activities in the Nepal Premier League (NPL).
A team from the Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) apprehended the suspects, with two arrested on Monday and two more on Tuesday, according to CIB AIG Deepak Thapa.
“Two of those arrested yesterday are Indian nationals. The other two are being brought to the office for further questioning,” AIG Thapa told Onlinekhabar.
The CIB has deployed a specialised team led by an SP to investigate suspicions of betting and illegal gambling in the ongoing NPL tournament.
