Janakpur advances to NPL final by defeating Karnali

Kathmandu, December 19

Janakpur Bolts have secured a spot in the final of the ongoing Nepal Premier League (NPL) by defeating Karnali Yaks by 2 wickets.

In the Qualifier 2 match held on Thursday, Janakpur successfully chased down the 119-run target set by Karnali with one over to spare, losing 8 wickets in the process.

Janakpur will now compete for the championship against Sudurpaschim Royals in the final, scheduled for Saturday. Sudurpaschim had reached the final after defeating Janakpur in Qualifier 1.

For Janakpur, Jimmy Neesham was the top scorer, smashing 45 runs off just 17 balls, including 2 fours and 5 sixes. Sher Malla contributed an unbeaten 16 runs off 10 balls, hitting a six. Harsh Thaker scored 17, Mayank Yadav added 15, and Akash Tripathi chipped in with 13 runs.
