Kathmandu, October 6
Hong Kong has barred Nepal Airlines flights for the next two weeks after six passengers flying from Kathmandu have tested positive for coronavirus recently.
The Nepal Airline Corporation’s spokesperson Archana Khadka says the passengers had boarded their flight after testing negative for the virus here, but they tested positive in their destination on Monday.
The suspension of NAC flights began this Sunday and it will last until October 17, according to her.
“Hong Kong has a strict health rule,” a senior NAC official says, “Once the virus was seen in the passengers, there was no way that we could save ourselves from the action.”
A total of 11 persons tested positive for coronavirus in Hong Kong on Monday. Of them, six were NAC passengers.
