Kathmandu, May 26
Five days after President Bidya Devi Bhandari dissolved the House of Representatives following a recommendation from the government, India, which is believed to supportive of Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli of late, says it is an internal affair of Nepal.
In response to media queries, the official spokesperson of the Indian Ministry of External Affairs issued a statement on Wednesday and said, “We have taken note of the recent political developments in Nepal. We view these as internal matters of Nepal to be dealt with by them under their own domestic framework and democratic processes.”
The statement further says, “As a neighbour and friend, India remains unwavering in its support for Nepal and its people on their journey toward progress, peace, stability and development.”
