Rasuwa, April 30
The Pasang Lhamu Highway has remained shut since Friday night after a container truck overturned at Mulkharka, Ramche VDC-1. Due to the mishap, hundreds of vehicles have been stranded along the artery. Carrying apples, the truck was heading to Kathmandu from Kerung.
The truck numbered Na 6 Kha 3021 turned turtle at around 10 am, Rasuwa district police office said. The accident occurred because the truck was overloaded, it said. With the road shut, not even ambulances are plying up along the stretch. We have already asked for a crain from Kathmandu to remove the truck, DPO chief Avadesh Bista said. He said traffic movement will resume from Saturday evening.
