Kathmandu, January 15
CPN-Maoist Centre Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal says he and CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli are determined to conclude the two parties’ unification process.
He says people have endorsed the parties’ plans and preparations for the merger as they cast ballots in recent provincial and federal parliamentary elections.
Dahal says the leaders will work ahead to implement the mandate.
“UML Chairman Oli and I have decided not to withdraw at any condition and meet people’s expectations.”
Inaugurating a function in Kathmandu today, Dahal said the unification of communist parties would herald the era of development.
He said a stable government was being formed after 70 years, therefore development activities would be expedited.
