Kathmandu, January 27
Incessant Rain Academy began its operations on Monday (January 23). The academy will offer classes about visual effects, 3D animation, games development, filmmaking, graphics development and app development, according to the founders.
Michael Croft, UNESCO Nepal office head, also attended the event. He talked about the opportunity that the academy offers to young Nepalis and the impact it will have on the Nepali film industry.
On Thursday, US Ambassador to Nepal Dean R Thompson also visited the academy. He appreciated the academy’s objective of enhancing the skills of Nepali artists and providing better opportunities to them, through the quality class.
“Globally, there is a crisis of human resources in film studios. This can be a great opportunity for Nepal. We want to produce more and more prolific human resources in the studios,” says Kiran Bhakta Joushi, founder of Incessant Rain.
