Kathmandu, June 22
The Indian government has appointed Gujarat-cadre IAS officer V Thiruppugazh as adviser to Nepal’s post-quake reconstruction authority.
According to PTU. Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led Appointments Committee of Cabinet (ACC) approved Thiruppugazhs appointment as Senior Adviser to National Reconstruction Authority (NRA), an order issued by Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) said.
According to the state-owned news agency, Thiruppugazh, a 1991 batch IAS officer of Gujarat cadre, is presently working as Adviser in the National Disaster Management Authority here. “He has been appointed for an initial period of six months and will be posted in Nepal,” the report said.
