Kathmandu, December 10
The foreign affairs department chief of India’s ruling Bharatiya Janata Party has visited Kathmandu on Thursday.
Vijay Chauthaiwale paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli on Thursday, according to Oli’s foreign affairs advisor Rajan Bhattarai.
The Indian leader also confirmed the meeting on his Twitter, also informing that he was in Kathmandu upon an invitation of Finance Minister Bishnu Paudel.
Bhattarai said Oli and Chauthaiwale talked about strengthening the people-to-people level ties between the two countries.
Chauthaiwale’s visit comes weeks after Indian Foreign Secretary Harsh Vardhan Shringla’s visit to Kathmandu.
