Kathmandu, May 20
An Indian mountaineer has died while trying to scale the 8,167-metre Dhaulagiri. According to mountaineering officials, Rajiv Bhattacharya (43) died at Camp IV while trying to climb the peak. Officials are finding it difficult to bring his body down.
Bhattacharya, who hails from West Bengal, had climed Everest, the world’s tallest peak, in 2011. In 2013, Bhattacharya had scaled Kanchanjunga.
