Dhangadhi, October 28
A policeman has been arrested on the charge of drug smuggling in the Kailali district of Sudurpaschim.
Assistant head constable Apil Bhat has been arrested based on the statement recorded from Yadav Kumar Chaudhary (33), a resident of Kailari rural municipality-6 of the Kailali district, who was arrested in possession of 13 gram contraband in Dhangadhi-7.
Chaudhary was arrested while smuggling the drug on a motorbike (Se 3 Pa 2680) from India.
DSP Bed Prakash Joshi says Bhat was arrested after Chaudhary said Bhat was involved in smuggling the contraband to jailbirds.
Further investigation is underway.
