Kathmandu, April 25
Chief Minister of Karnali Province Yam Lal Kandel has received the vote of confidence.
Kandel got 23 votes in Thursday’s Provincial Assembly. Thirty-five MPs were present in the 40-member provincial assembly today.
Out of which 23 were in favour of the vote of confidence, 11 were against and one was neutral.
There are 14 MPs from the Nepali Congress, 13 from the CPN Maoist Center, and 10 from the CPN UML in the Karnali Provincial Assembly.
Likewise, there is one MP each from Rastriya Prajatantra Party, CPN Unified Socialist and Independent.
Kandel was appointed as the Chief Minister on April 9.
