Kathmandu, December 3
Naya Shakti Party Nepal’s House of Representatives candidate in Kathmandu-2, Ganesh Simkhada, says he has left the party and joined the CPN-UML.
At a special function organised in Kathmandu today, UML senior leader and former prime minister Madhav Kumar Nepal welcomed Simkhada to the party. Nepal is the leftist alliance’s common candidate in the constituency.
Simkhada says he now will work to ensure Nepal’s victory in the polls scheduled for Thursday.
With Simkhada’s defection, the Baburam Bhattarai-led party does not have any candidate for the House of Representatives in this constituency.
