The Kathmandu District Attorney’s Office has recommended police to free industrialist Roop Jyoti and his daughter, arrested on fraud charges last week.
The district attorney’s office has also recommended the Attorney General’s Office to drop charges against Jyoti and his daughter after the complainant withdrew his complain.
“We have decided not to press charges against Jyoti. But the final decision to this effect has to be made by the Office of the Attorney General. We have written to the police to free Jyoti on bail until the Attorney General decides to formally drop the case,” Assistant District Attorney Numraj Khanal told Onlinkhabar.
