Kathmandu, September 22
An eight-year-old boy has gone missing in a flood in Kapan on the northern outskirts of Kathmandu, on Tuesday evening.
The missing child is yet to be identified. The Metropolitan Police Circle in Bauddha says the child had fallen into the flood at Tarkari Bazaar near the border of Budhanilakantha municipality-10 and Kathmandu metropolitan city-6.
Locals and police have launched a search mission.
The Kapan area gets flooded whenever it rains heavily in northern Kathmandu owing to the construction of roads over small streams and a flawed sewage management system.
