Komaki EV has launched yet another electric two-wheeler in the market. Komaki Ranger, its latest release, is said to be Nepal’s first electric cruiser bike.
Komaki previously had two offerings as Komaki SE and Venice, both of them were scooters. Unity Trading Concern Pvt Ltd, the official distributor of the brand for Nepal, has announced the pre-booking of the new Komaki Ranger bike. The bike offers traditional cruise styling but has a battery-powered motor. The bike also features a side stand sensor, a mobile charging device, dual fake exhaust pipes with flame effects and a triple headlamp. Besides these, there are also many other exciting features on the bike.
Given the tag of the “first electric cruiser bike” in the country, the bike is expected to fare well in the market. But, do other features guarantee this?

Design
Komaki Ranger flaunts a classic cruiser styling. The round headlights, the chrome cowl, a tall handlebar, and split step-up seat are some of the features on the bike that add beauty to its retro aesthetics. Komaki Ranger is also the first of its type in the market. The electric bikes seen on the market right now seem to be mostly influenced by sports styling and there are not many of them; hence, Komaki Ranger is unique.
The sidelight on the bike is integrated together with the headlight. The entire body of the bike gets chrome and a blacked-out finish. This electric bike also gets a front body guard, rear lamp guard, rear protection guard, and rear backrest for the comfort and convenience of the rider.
Furthermore, the bike also gets dual fake exhaust pipes with flame effects imitating the ones found on the combustion engine bikes. The bike also flaunts a classic-style elongated handlebar. There is a split seat on the bike and there is a saddlebag as well.
Performance
Komaki Ranger is powered by the interior permanent magnet, Brushless Motor. The rated power of the motor is 4000W. The bike features an advanced lithium battery with a 72V50Ah capacity. It can offer a range from 150-200km on a single charge while taking around five to six hours for the battery to get fully charged.
Komaki Ranger features four riding modes to the users for adapting to different riding environments. The modes include eco, comfort, sports and turbo. Adding further sophistication to the bike, there are also features like reverse mode and cruise control mode.
There is a digital instrumental cluster on the bike that displays speed and the trips covered.
Brakes, tyres and suspension
Komaki Ranger has dual disc brakes and features a combi-braking system. This braking system links the front and rear brakes on the motorcycle and when the rider applies one of the brakes, the braking applies on both front and rear wheels.
The bike features 17-inch Y-shaped alloy wheels on both front and rear. Both tyres on the bike are tubeless. The size of the front tyre is 110/70-17 and the rear is 140/70-17. As for the suspension, the bike features a telescopic fork at the front while there is a dual shock (custom damping) at the rear end.

Komaki Ranger competes with the likes of Miku and SuperSoco bikes. This is an interesting launch from the company as it is the first and only cruiser electric vehicle available right now in the country.
Meanwhile, this indicates that having varieties in electric two-wheelers is also possible. This launch can attract a new customer segment towards electric vehicles.
However, with the given price and cruiser tagline, the range should have been more than what it has offered right now. Other than this, the build quality will also hugely determine the purchase.
