A teacher has drowned while swimming in the Madi river in Madhyanepal municipality of the Lamjung district in Gandaki.
Baburam Adhikari (45), a resident of Pokhara metropolitan city-32 in the Kaski district, currently teaching at Malika Basic School at Bahare, Madhyanepal was found dead at Dharapani, Baireni, Byas municipality-10 of the neighbouring Tanahun district, informs Inspector Jagadish Regmi of the Lamjung District Police Office.
He was missing while swimming on Tuesday, according to police.
The body has been handed over to the family for final rites after an autopsy at the Damauli Hospital.
