Balewa, September 21
One person died whereas three others sustained injuries in a lightning strike, in Jaidi, Jaimini municipality-7 of the Baglung district in Gandaki.
The victim has been identified as Mum Bahadur Sarki (60), who was struck by the thunderbolt on Monday evening. He died on the spot.
Other injured have been identified as Sahabire Nepali (60), Bipana Nepali (18), and Lal Bahadur Nepali (57). They are undergoing treatment at the Jaidi health post.
Local Bimal Sharma says a buffalo also died in the incident.
