Kathmandu, October 22
Amid reports that the chief of India’s foreign intelligence agency, Research and Analysis Wing (RAW), Samanta Goel, met Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli and some former prime ministers, yet another former PM has clarified that he did not meet Goel.
In a tweet on Thursday, the ruling Nepal Communist Party’s senior leader Madhav Kumar Nepal says he did not meet the Indian official. Earlier, another former PM in the party, Pushpa Kamal Dahal, had also refuted the report.
Goel arrived in Kathmandu on Wednesday afternoon and returned to New Delhi this morning. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Indian Embassy in Kathmandu have not said anything officially about the visit.
