Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba is preparing to reshuffle his cabinet by inducting leaders from the Mahantha Thakur-led Loktantrik Samajbadi Party (LSP).
As both houses of the parliament have endorsed the Citizenship Act Amendment Bill, the party has expressed its readiness to join the government.
“Yes, we have already decided to join the government although when we will join is not certain yet,” a leader close to Thakur says.
The party has asked PM Deuba to give two ministerial and one state ministerial berths for the party, and the prime minister is positive about it, according to the leader.
