Nepalgunj, March 20
District Police Office Banke has arrested a man from the Royal Mahabub Hotel in Nepalgunj with the hide of a tiger.
The arrested is 28-year-old Chandra Kahadur Karki of Surkhet Barahatal Rural Municipality-2.
DSP Narayan Dagi of Banke said that the police team arrested the accused Karki with the hide while hiding it in a green and black bag and keeping it in room number 101 of the hotel.
According to DSP Dagi, the recovered tiger hide is 5 feet 9 inches long and 3 feet 2 inches wide. Preliminary investigation revealed that the accused had brought tiger hide from Surkhet.
According to the District Police Office, preparations are being made to send the recovered tiger hide and the accused Karki to Division Forest Office Banke for further investigation.
