Kathmandu, March 4
A 39-year-old man has died in Palpa following a physical assault by his own father and sister over a domestic dispute.
According to the police, the deceased has been identified as Yagya Bahadur Kumal, a resident of Bagnaskali Rural Municipality-2. The fatal incident occurred on February 27 during a quarrel involving Yagya Bahadur, his 63-year-old father, Sher Bahadur Kumal, and his 45-year-old sister, Devi Kumal. During the altercation, Sher Bahadur and Devi allegedly assaulted Yagya Bahadur.
Following the attack, Yagya Bahadur’s wife rushed him to Mission Hospital in Tansen for treatment. However, District Police Office Palpa’s Information Officer, Sunil Malla, stated that doctors at the hospital declared him dead upon arrival.
Police have arrested Sher Bahadur and Devi Kumal and are conducting further investigations into the incident.
