Motorola has launched its budget 5G option, the Motorola G34 5G in China. The smartphone continues the Moto G series, which includes the Moto G32, Moto G31 and Moto G30. This budget series from Motorola is popular for its simple design, performance and price.
The smartphone features a 5G chipset and a 120Hz screen, making it a potentially attractive budget option if launched in Nepal.

Display and Design
The Moto G34 5G has a simple design like the other G series smartphone. It has a plastic back with a smooth matte textured feel and a metal brushed-like plastic frame. The top left corner houses the camera module which is slightly bumped. It has a dual-rear camera setup. It is available in two colour options; Blue and Black. On the front, it has a hole-punch camera cutout which houses the selfie camera. The bezels are acceptable for the price range; they are thin on the top and sides but bulkier on the chin.
The Moto G34 5G has an IPS LCD panel with a 120Hz refresh rate with a screen size of 6.5 inches. It has an approximately 84 per cent screen-to-body ratio for a decent viewing area. It has an HD+ resolution with a 20:9 ratio, delivering a pixel density of around 270 ppi.
Performance and Storage
The Moto G34 5G under the hood is equipped with a Snapdragon 695 5G chipset, featuring an octa-core CPU configuration. It consists of two powerful Kryo 660 Gold cores clocked at 2.2 GHz and six efficient Kryo 660 Silver cores running at 1.7 GHz. It is equipped with an Adreno 619 GPU, which provides satisfactory graphics support for gaming and multimedia applications. It runs on the latest Android 14 with MYUI operating system.
The smartphone is available in one RAM option of 8GB paired with one storage option of 128GB. It also has a virtual RAM feature adding an extra 8GB of RAM from the storage for faster processing and efficiency. External storage is also available with a dedicated MicroSD card slot.
Camera
The Moto G34 5G comes equipped with a dual rear camera setup, featuring a 50MP main camera with an f/1.8 aperture. Additionally, it includes a 2MP macro lens for close-up shots. It strengthens the rear camera with features like LED flash, HDR, and panorama mode. It can record videos at 1080p resolution at 30 fps.
The selfie camera has a 16MP shooter which clicks decent selfies and videos. It also has support for 1080p video shooting at 30fps.

The Moto G34 5G is powered by a 5,000 mAh battery for ample usage time. It supports 18W wired charging. However, it comes with a 20W charging brick in the box. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi and Bluetooth for seamless wireless connections. It operates on LTE and 5G networks along with dual SIM capabilities.
For audio, it features a mono-speaker and the classic 3.5mm headphone jack for traditional wired audio connections. Additionally, it has Snapdragon Sound, enhancing audio performance for an improved listening experience. It incorporates a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for convenient and secure unlocking.
