The standing committee meeting of the ruling Nepal Communist Party has decided to take action against its chairman, Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, for dissolving the House of Representatives.
The party’s spokesperson Narayan Kaji Shrestha informed journalists after the meeting that a proposal for action against him would be tabled in the party’s central committee meeting to be held on Tuesday.
Likewise, Shrestha said the party would seek legal remedy against the dissolution.
The meeting also called the parliamentary party meeting for 1 pm on Monday.
Interestingly, the meeting was held at Oli’s official residence in Baluwatar. Oli and leaders close to him were absent from the meeting.
